Rubber Layflat Hose
Rubber layflat hose is a lightweight, collapsible hose designed for efficient high-volume water transfer, dewatering, irrigation, and industrial fluid handling. When pressurized, the hose rounds into full flow bore; when pressure is released, it lays flat for easy storage and transport. Constructed with a durable synthetic rubber tube and cover, reinforced with high-strength synthetic textile yarn, this hose offers excellent abrasion, weather, and UV resistance. Working pressure up to 150–300psi
Product description
Product Details – Rubber Layflat Hose
Application
Designed for temporary or mobile fluid transfer where lightweight, compact storage is critical. Common applications: construction site dewatering, agricultural irrigation, mining water discharge, firefighting supply lines, industrial pump discharge, and general water or light slurry transfer.
Construction
Tube: Black, smooth, water- and abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber (SBR/NR or EPDM depending on fluid type) – non-toxic options available for potable water.
Reinforcement: High-tenacity synthetic polyester or nylon textile yarn (circular woven or spiral) – provides burst resistance while allowing hose to lay flat when depressurized.
Cover: Synthetic rubber (SBR or EPDM) – abrasion-, oil-, UV-, ozone-, and weather-resistant.
Performance
Working Pressure: 150 PSI (10 bar) to 300 PSI (20 bar) – multiple pressure ratings available (standard, high-pressure, or heavy-duty)
Burst Pressure: 3–4 x working pressure
Temperature Range: -25°C to +80°C (-13°F to +176°F) – EPDM tube available for higher temperatures or hot water up to +100°C
Available Sizes
1” to 16” (25 mm – 400 mm) ID, standard lengths 30 m, 50 m, 100 m, or 300 ft. Custom lengths available.
Features
Lays flat when empty – easy to roll, store, and transport; saves valuable space on trucks and job sites
Lightweight design – significantly lighter than conventional suction hoses, reducing operator fatigue
Fast deployment and retrieval – ideal for temporary pumping applications
Smooth bore – minimizes friction loss, maximizing flow efficiency
Excellent weather resistance – UV and ozone stabilized cover for long outdoor life
Kink resistant – maintains flow even under tight bends when pressurized
Coupling options – compatible with camlock, pin lug, storz, or threaded couplings (pre-fitted or DIY attach)
Multiple colors available – color-coding for different fluids (water, fuel, dewatering)
Cost-effective – less expensive than rigid or heavy-duty suction hoses for similar pressure requirements
