Bulk Material Discharge Hose
Bulk material discharge hose is designed for pneumatic and gravity transfer of dry bulk materials including cement, fly ash, sand, granules, pellets, and food-grade powders. Featuring a smooth, abrasion-resistant SBR/NR tube, textile reinforcement, and a steel wire helix for full vacuum and kink resistance. The cover is wear-, ozone-, and weather-resistant. Operating up to 150 PSI with temperatures from -30°C to +80°C. Available in sizes 2” to 12”. Ideal for cement tankers, pneumatic conveying
Product description
Product Details – Bulk Material Discharge Hose
Application
Designed for suction and discharge of dry bulk materials in pneumatic or gravity systems. Common uses: cement and fly ash transport, sand and aggregate transfer, grain and seed handling, plastic pellets, chemical powders, and food-grade materials.
Construction
• Tube: Smooth, highly abrasion-resistant SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) or NR (natural rubber) – static conductive option available. Resists wear from sharp or abrasive particles.
• Reinforcement: High-tensile synthetic textile cord plies + a galvanized steel wire helix (spiral wound) for full vacuum resistance, crush protection, and kink prevention.
• Cover: Black, abrasion-, oil-, ozone-, and weather-resistant SBR/EPDM rubber. Smooth or wrapped finish.
Performance
• Working Pressure: Up to 150 PSI (10.3 bar) depending on size
• Burst Pressure: 4 x working pressure
• Vacuum Rating: Full vacuum (29 in Hg)
• Temperature Range: -30°C to +80°C (-22°F to +176°F)
Available Sizes
2” to 12” (50 mm – 300 mm) ID, standard lengths 15 m / 20 m / 30 m / 60 ft. Custom lengths available.
Standards
Meets or exceeds EN 13483 (for rubber hoses with internal metal reinforcement for bulk transfer)
Features
• Highly abrasion-resistant tube – extends service life with abrasive cements, sand, and minerals
• Full vacuum capability – enables deep suction of materials without hose collapse
• Smooth bore – minimizes flow resistance and prevents material buildup
• Steel wire helix – provides rigidity for easy coupling and prevents kinking under bending
• Static conductive option – for safe transfer of explosive dust atmospheres (≤10⁶ Ω)
• Lightweight yet durable – easier handling than all-metal or heavy rubber hoses
• Weather-resistant cover – suitable for outdoor and mobile applications
• End connections – compatible with camlocks, flanges, or heavy-duty banded couplings
